Paul Ackah, PMHNP-BC

Paul joins us with over 16 years of psychiatric experience. He provides care for individuals facing a wide range of mental health conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. He believes it is important to seek professional help when dealing with mental health issues to ensure that the appropriate treatment is received. He thoroughly assesses each patient’s concerns, medical history, and traumatic experience in search of potential triggers that might be contributing factor to the identified ailments. His aim is to treat symptoms, enhance functioning, and promote resilience in the face of mental health challenges. He strives to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives by providing comprehensive, compassionate care. He is fluent in English, French, and Twi. He cares for patients ages 8 and up in person and via telehealth.

Pardeep is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She believes in treating people with a personalized approach tailored to the individual’s unique situation to achieve a greater sense of well-being. Pardeep provides treatment by utilizing psychopharmacology in combination with psychotherapeutic techniques. Her primary focus is treating depression, mood disorder, anxiety, ADHD, OCD and other psychiatric disorders. She is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi. She cares for children and adults ages 10 and up.

Opanin has extensive health care experience spanning over a decade and half treating various medical and mental health conditions. He employs a holistic approach which involves the treatment of the whole person and not just symptoms. He enjoys engaging with his clients in an empathetic, open-minded, and non-judgmental environment that will lead to positive outcomes. He provides medication management and supportive psychotherapy for multiple psychiatric conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, Schizophrenia, and ADHD. He is fluent in English, Twi, Fante, and Akuapem. He cares for children and adults ages 8 and up.

Sheila has always been fascinated by the brain and began her healthcare career caring for neurosurgical patients after obtaining her Bachelor’s in nursing from Johns Hopkins University. From there, she spent several years working in the emergency departments in the DMV. Her area of expertise is ADHD. She is fluent in English and Haitian Creole. Sheila is licensed in Maryland and DC and provides mental health services for children and adults ages 5 and up.

Sheila was told in France that she is the most beautiful woman the world (MBWW). She self-proclaims being the most Awesome Psych NP to ever live.

Navneet Gill is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She believes in a collaborative approach, combining evidenced-based treatment, medication management, and supportive therapy to help individuals achieve mental well-being. With experience in diverse clinical settings, she strives to create a safe, judgment-free space where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Her practice specializes in treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, women's mental health, and range of other psychiatric disorders. Navneet is fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

She cares for adults ages 18 and older.  

Navneet is currently seeing self-pay patients as she undergoes insurance credentialing.

As a combat veteran, Joseph is passionate about increasing access to mental healthcare to fellow veterans as well as current military members. He has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. He continues to serve the Veteran Community through his full-time position at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He brings a wealth of healthcare management and business expertise.  Joseph is a dog dad of two and the wonderful husband of co-owner Sheila Tate who he proclaims, of course, is the most wonderful wife in the world.
